AlpAccess is one of the most important companies providing industrial rope access services in Romania has managed to remain open during the COVID-19 pandemic. “We were fortunate to still have work, orders and requests for new projects,” explains Dragos State, General Manager at AlpAccess.

The company is maintaining worker/client safety. He told PCE-International; “Workers are issued masks and gloves, we are limiting the work schedule, administrative staff working from home, and we are carrying out periodical disinfection of the workplaces.”

The company is currently working at 100%. “We are involved in several large ongoing projects, which includes a refinery turnaround. The only problems we are having are with cash flow, as some clients are slowing down payments.”

The company has not been involved directly with supporting the country’s health service during the pandemic. “But we support an initiative group to finance projects aimed for helping people in need during the pandemic. The company has not needed to dismiss any employees, “and we have kept paying all wages and taxes on time – at least so far,” says State.

AlpAccess are involved in the Petromidia Refinery turnaround, with a multi-disciplined team providing, scaffolding, insulation and painting. “The project started along with the pandemic in Romania, and it’s almost finished now,” he told PCE-International.
