Coating surveys should be conducted by experienced personnel who can make sound judgement on the condition of an existing coating and develop information that can be used to make effective decisions on the management of the coatings. There are various types of coating surveys conducted throughout the industry ranging from the basic ‘walk-through’ visual inspection to the comprehensive coating survey necessary in the investigation of a coating failure.

This training course has been written by Brendan Fitzsimons and Trevor Parry – two leading figures in protective coatings whose names are synonymous with expertise and professional standards in protective coatings and corrosion control.

Brendan is the author of Fitz’s Atlas and Fitz‘s Atlas 2. He is a NACE Corrosion Specialist, Protective Coatings Specialist and a NACE Coating Inspector and Peer Reviewer. Brendan is also a Fellow Member of the Institute of Corrosion, a Chartered Scientist and has a Master’s degree in Materials Engineering.
