Protective Coatings Expert joins the European Federation of Corrosion
The EFC is a federation of about 50 organisations
Protective Coatings Expert is proud to announce that the General Assembly of the European Federation of Corrosion (EFC) has recently approved, on recommendation of the Board of Administrators, MPI GROUP – PCE INTERNATIONAL and its magazine, Protective Coatings Expert as an Affiliate Member of the EFC.
The EFC is a federation of about 50 organisations (Member Societies and Affiliate Members) with interests in corrosion, based in 25 different countries within Europe and beyond. Taken together, its Member Societies represent a community of more than 25,000 engineers and scientists.
Founded in 1955, its aim is to advance the science of corrosion and protection of materials by promoting cooperation in Europe and collaboration internationally.
24 EFC Working Parties and 2s Task Forces address various aspects of corrosion and its prevention in many sectors. They prepare reports, guidelines, drafts standards and proceeding for publication for instance in the highly regarded EFC series of ‘Green Books’,
EUROCORR, the EFC’s annual conference is the flagship event of the European corrosion calendar. This year’s event, scheduled in Dublin, Ireland, will be the 44th, in the series.
In November 2025, the first edition of the new international conference PractiCORR took place in Warsaw, Poland. The second edition is scheduled in 2027.
The EFC supports numerous events and labelled courses offered by its members.
